I am trying to install a new internet service provider's software and the Internet Explorer Content Advisor comes up and wants a password, I never set a password for it so I don't know how to get around it. Is there any way to get around it?

Funny how everyone assumes this user is a kid. Why?

In case you are under-age, be warned that there is a lot of dodgy content and dubious people out there in this big wide world so beware of what you are asking for, you just might get it and lot you didn't bargain for.

Nevetheless:

Backup your registry first!

- Click the Start button
- Click Run
- Type regedit
- Click OK
- Click the Registry menu
- Click Export Registry File
- Select your save location
- Click Save

After backing up your registry, to get rid of Content Adviser, do the following...

- Within regedit double click HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE
- Double click Software
- Double click Microsoft
- Double click Windows
- Double click CurrentVersion
- Double click Policies
- Double click Ratings

Within the right hand pane...

- Click Key
- On your keyboard, hit the Delete key
- Click Yes
- Click the Registry menu
- Click Exit

There is a way around it, through editing the registry. But, it would be better if you respected the boundaries that have been set for you. Ask your parent/guardian to enter the password.
