They will qualify but then will crash out in the group stages of the proper tournament.

We are the best at being the underdogs guys, so lets not get too big for our boots just yet. That's what happened to our english counterparts and they haven't set their nation alight. Do as Mr Walter Smith says and keep yourselves grounded as surprise victories against the worlds greatest always taste best. The very next day the Scottish manager asked us to remember what happened in Holland after a terrific win in Scotland. So we will go to Ukraine with our underdog masks on and our pretend surprise on our faces when we give them a game to remember.
I hope we do win Euro 2008 and if we keep a 100% unbeaten European streak for the next two matches, then why the hell not.

A question like this always brings a good thicket of Nigels out from under their stones.
You've a fair catch here my friend and it only goes to prove the bloody little englanders know nothing about football.
We Scots are a realistic people, maybe even a bit dour (pronouned 'door' you ignorant Nigels) but surely that is better than being an english oaf?

Bit of a silly question really , Remember Argentina 1978?
Every time Scotland think we are going to do well we screw up.
Justing getting to the finals would be Fantastic. anything after that is a bonus!

Come on my friend you are catching that English disease called "Talking nonsense".The one English fans and media catch come every tournament they play in.
Great as it was to beat the French and would be to win the tournament, lets keep our feet firmly on the ground!

No we are not and if we can get to Austria/Switzerland then that in itself will be a massive achievement. We are in a genuine Group of Death and even England would do well to finish in the top 2.

No, good result last night but, remember, Wales did a similar thing against Italy in the World Cup qualifiers and finished nowhere.

of course they can, the Manager smith knows what he needs to do to get certain results, they may not have looked pretty like Le french, but its not about looking pretty its about picking up 3 points which is exactly what they have done 3 games in a row, go Wally's army
