In Genesis a woman named Dinah is raped. Two of her brothers go into the town where it happened, and they killed all the men in that town. That is a sort of, I don't know, psycho serial killer thing.

Did God ever punish those two brothers? According to the story, they lost their blessing.

So, according to Bible teachings, is the punishment for murder that I will lose my blessing?

The Bible teaches that which you sow, you will reap. This is a basic life principle.

In the Old testament times they believed that an eye for and eye was proper punishment for an offender. I think that man has always tried to change the word of God to suit his needs. No one truly knows the mind of God so no one can truly answer your question from a God standpoint. I think from a human standpoint their actions can be understood, they were extremely anguished over what had happened to their sister and they reacted to the offense wrongly. We all do somethings without thinking them through first. As for murder, I would say to you that you would lose your blessing and your freedom. So I suppose that the answer to your question would be yes, but, it's not my place to judge you or anyone else thank God.

I dont think you really want to know the answer to this question. It seems your whole point for asking these questions is to belittle the bible and peoples faith. Why do you need to do this? Does it affect your life how they choose to live? If you have any serious questions about the bible email me personally and i will show you the answer from the bible.

fact is, the two brothers, who avenged the rape of their sister by the prince of Shchem (that's the main city of Samaria today) become the fathers of two Israeli tribes.
So they certainly were not punished.
the teachings in the bible were relevant several thousand years ago, where social concepts were very different, these primitive people are not relevant any more, except for their mythical value.

UM Vengeance is mine said the Lord, if thy brother hunger give him food, if he thirst give him drink in so doing you shall reap coals of fire on his head.
Thou shall not kill, thou shall not commit adultery, thou shall not convet thy neighbors wife
The question is should the brothers be killed for shedding innocent blood?
The Bible mainly talks about the wages of sin leads to death unless one repent and come away. If I were you I would seriously pray because the Bible make it clear in both the old and new testament that we reap what we sow.

Yes, without repentance, yes. Ok Jimmy do you now have enough info to awaken? To awaken to the truth. How much do you need from Him? Be careful of what you do, because He'll hold you to a higher standing as well. And He's the ultimate decision maker.

God was so discusted with the sin of the people of which you speak of as well as the rest of the worlds population, that He flooded the earth and started over with Noah and his family.

So the answer to your question of "did God punnish those brothers? Yes. God punnished everyone because they did not follow His laws.

The world was just as imoral back then as is is today. And He will punnish and rid us today, for the way our world is over flowing in that same distusting sin as it did back then.

i'd like to see if you'd cover the whole Bible and then take only what you deem as wrong and spread words around so that everyone loses faith in it. Interesting.
