If you just want to know how much memory your computer has, right click My Computer, choose Properties, and the information is at the bottom right of the "General" Tab.
If you want to know how much memory is currently being used/available, right click the task bar at the bottom of the desktop and choose "Task Manager"...then go to the "Performance" tab.
