I think East Midland is not an intercontinental airport, so you have to fly to London or Paris, Brussell or Amsterdam first.
I'm sure BA have a direct fly London-Los Angeles.

Not aware of any direct flights from East Midlands to the US. The only airport that offers direct flights to LAX is Heathrow. You can fly out of Manchester and connect in Chicago or Paris among others.

Tonalc 1 - Ontario is NOT in Orange County!!! It'a in San Bernardino County and it is a WAY better alternative to LAX. There are a lot of smaller airports near LAX. It all depends on whether the airline you fly lands or takes off from that airport. Burbank is fairly close to LAX. John Wayne IS in Orange County, but with traffic, you're probably just better off flying out of Burbank. Ontario is pretty convenient and only about an hour away from LAX.

Try booking a flight from say Paris or Amsterdam to LA and then book a separate flight on one of the many low cost airlines that fly from NEMA. Often you will get very cheap flights flying from Europe rather than the UK and if you can pick up a connecting flight fora good price, that will make it even cheaper.

Hi,
Thats a difficult one to get out of Nottingham direct to LA, the best I have found is Virgin Atlantic from Heathrow to LA on Sun 29th Jan 2007 returning Wednesday 7th Feb 2007 for three ADULTS as your children dont qualify for the lower child rate sinec they are over the maximum child age of 12 years, the fare is GBP343.20 x 3 GBP1029.60. best way out is Coach on Nat Express or Virgin Trains from Nottingham to London.
