I recently acquired a second hand digital (DECT) phone set, but the required cables were missing. I would like to know the model no. or reference of the cable I will need to make it operate. A standard white phone cable does not work. Thanking you all in advance :-)
Regards, Shaheda

A DECT phone uses standard RJ-11 jack - this is the normal jack for any phone world-wide. If the cable you have does not work - it is wither broken or you ahve the wrong type. Maybe you are using an Internet cable (this is an RJ-45) which will not work on the DECT phone. Good luck!

A standard cable should work, as long as it fits. If the sockets are the wrong size, look for products designed for modems, as these often use the US-style compact sockets that will fit. Also, some badly-designed sockets (or if the clip gets damaged), allow the cable to be plugged in the wrong way up, so check for that.

go trait to Radio Shack there you will find everything you need...take your phone with you!

if its a regular landline all you need is the standard RJ-11 plug...
