Actually there is a "winter white" and a "winter beige" (more like an ecru) that have both become very popular for winter time. A lot of it depends on the fabric, if it is wintery or not. Good luck :)

To be honest with you, I have found that what colors one wears for normal, everyday life do not make any difference at all, for any time of year. If you have been wearing beige up to this point at that time of year and didn't feel awkward, I wouldn't worry about it.

Not anymore! Nowadays people are wearing white shoes and jackets in winter, to reflect the snow...or to brighten up the day! Wearing Beige is fine, as long as you add colorful or black accessories and pay attention to the fabrics....example beige and white, or beige and pink...something to add to the color to make it shine~

Not anymore, those days are gone now, you were supposed to wear dark colours in the autumn/winter months, how drab and sad that must have been, these days you wear what you want and hopefully something fairly bright to warm up the dark winter days.

It might be against Emily Post's rules but it's not as though people are going to point and laugh. Wear what you want.
