Good carbs, we're not talking pastries, ice cream, or soda, basically do not make you gain weight. You just digest them faster so you're ready to eat earlier than if you had protein. In fact, with really complex carbs, fresh fruit (with its fiber in not juiced), brown rice or pasta, that does not usually become a problem. All in all, it all boils down to calories. If you ate light all day, you're going to get after dinner cravings, so have an apple, big deal. Or try eating your dinner later, and have it have protein, carbs, and dark greens. Again, it all boils down to how many calories you get in every day, and how many you burn, when it comes to losing weight.

Everything in moderation is my motto. I exercise at least 4 times a week and I include strength training to build lean muscle mass, which increases my resting metabolic rate. I try not to deprive myself of any foods. I simply go for moderation. If I hear one more person order a burger without the bun, I think I'll scream.

You know I wish everybody would do this. It's soooo healthy. And yes, you do lose weight on it. Talk to a dietitian to see how many carbs per day you should be on. You don't give up protein at all with this and I fill up on water afterwards. Good luck to you and happy eating!!

i,ve always trained & kept myself extremely fit.
the best thing to eat for protein is fish, mackeral, salmon, tuna, seabass prawns.
Pasta is only a good thing if your going to be burning it off later, if not it too gets stored as fat.
A low fat diet & also plenty of cardio is the answer.
Carbs are extremely imprtant But you must use them as energy foods, to give you what you need to exercise on.
As for the cravings, Dont ever stop yourself from having whatever you fancy, as you,ll soon get fed up with it & stop enjoying what you are allowing yourself to eat, just dont overdo it & remember to burn it off.
