EXPRESS EMTIONS IN WRITING

It is also called brain writing. I am not sure what you are asking, but heres my best shot.

The subconscious mind is like a very powerful, obedient child.
It cannot tell the difference between a real event, or an imagined event. So if you wish to accomplish something, just write it as if it were already a reality.

It is a lot like reprogramming your computer. It can work wonders.

1. Keep a journal -- even an electronic one on your computer. Don't be worried about spelling or anything like that -- just write down your thoughts on any particular topic at the moment.

2. Go into a library catalog and use the key words "therapeutic writing" or "scribotherapy." Find a good book on the topic.

3. Go online and type in "therapeutic writing" or "scribotherapy" and see what you come up with.

This isn't very scientific, so forgive me.

Someone once told me to buy an A4 book, and write two sides of paper non-stop as soon as you get up, whatever comes in to your head - even if you start off my saying "I don't know what to write..." Don't worry about meaning, spelling, grammar, punctuation, just let it flow without editing or reading it back. When you've finished, don't read it, just close your book in time for the next morning.

The advantage of this is that when you first wake up your brain is less likely to edit what you think. It is therapeutic in that it gets rid of all the subconscious thought that is hovering in the front of your head, and clears the way for more productive thoughts!

Try writing a letter to yourself or to the person that has hurt you. Put down everything that you are feeling, what happened and why you think you are feeling it. Just pour everything out onto the page, it doesn't matter because noone but you has to see it (although if you are in therapy you may want to show it to your therapist). Just putting into words what you are feeling is a powerful thing. If you can't express it in words, try drawing a picture or even just using analogies so that you can describe the feeling.

Well, I'm not sure about therpeutic writing, but I do know that writing whatever comes to your mind is helpful. It leads to other thoughts that are deeper and stuff...
