I have a 2006 Ford Mustang Convertible. I looked at a lot of cars before I bought this one. It has pretty good gas mileage. And I look good in it. So I guess I would say.

A honda civic fits most of what your are looking for except it's made in US but you shouldn't limit yourself to "japanese" cars if you want the best instead of mediocre.
