Apparently your boyfriend is not over you. However, if he really loved you why does he not share that thought with you when you are single? I believe that is the reason why he is an X - Obviously he does not make a move and make ammends to a relationship once existed but once you have someone new in your life he is threatened - mere jealousy. You still might have some feelings for him but just move on my friend. This is part of the cycle of life. I will guarantee that you will find someone else and be happier than what you were and whatever happened between you and your ex is just that: The Past. Exes do that. It's their way of trying to control you. Or maybe he just still gets jealous when you're with another guy. Keep contact to your ex to a minimum and only talk about the kids. There's no reason he should even know you are seeing someone unless you live in a tiny little town.

This tends to happen when a relationship ends, have been on both sides of that situation. I think it is caused by one of two things,
1. The need for the security of having somebody, which you gave him when you were in a relationship.
2. Somebody has something of his that he thinks he still wants, but would have the same "end" result.

You can't go down the same dead-end road twice. He will eventually find somebody else, we always do or he will get his security blanket back while he looks for somebody else.

But ask yourself a question "How responsible is he?"

If he's responsible then he may be trying to get you back because he has realised the error of his ways. If you were with him a long time, still care for him you may want to recosider this.

If he isn't then there could be all sorts of reasons why he's saying it. So if this is how he is, don't tell him, just keep your distance from him.

Hes jealous. Or hes is probably trying to protect you because he thinks the guy you are with is going to hurt you. I would take his advice if i was a girl. I would also go out with him since if he is trying to protect you still, then he still loves you.

haha , because he wants to play with your emotions and try to convince you to go back with him. once you break it off with this other guy he succeeded and then will treat you the same way he did before you broke up. i did the same thing to my xgf, towards the end even though she made me sick, everytime i pictured some guy sticking his wang in her it made me sick,, so i had pull out all the stops. now i dont care anymore, in fact me and the guy she was seeing did the GB to her and she loved it. after that i realized that she wasnt wife material after all.

yes, maybe he still loves you. it doesn't mean he wants to get back with you. its just that you don't just stop loving a person after a few weeks or months after you stop seeing each other. sometimes, it can take a while.
