You can serve the time working for the principality for 8 hours a day, as being "in custody". ask the public defenders office about it. it counts the same as jail time. And don't be stupid, obey the law.

run from the law. But then of course they will get a warrant for their arrest and eventually be caught, and will end up spending more time in jail. Not a good plan. Ooorrr people could just stop breaking the law.... Hey that just might work!!

They could petition the court to have the days changed or possibly even have the sentence reduced but there are no guarantees and unless you just got diagnosed with cancer or something, you'll probably just be giving your lawyer money and getting nothing out of it.

In Australia _sometimes_ you can turn very short sentences into hours of Community Service.
