The price really won't go up THAT much, if any. I am going to have to agree, It all depends on detail. For example, my smallest tattoo is black and white, and it was STILL more expensive than my others. Reason, Detail. Talk to your tattooist and they can work with you to find either the right price, or the right tattoo. It's your choice.

The tattoo artist I go to charges by the hour. What I would recommend is going in and talking with the artist and showing him or her what you want done and find out how much he or she will charge you. Most tattoo artists require that you put a small deposit down that will go towards the price of the tattoo. All my tattoos are colored and very pretty. It just depends on the artist and what they charge. Good luck!!

Color does cost a little more, but it's there to stay so have it done right the first time to where you will be happy with it. It's hard for me to comprehend that it has a lot of different colors if it is really small. What is small??? Size of a penny or a half dollar doubled in size?

Not true! The cost of a tattoo depends on the tattoo artists rate - it has nothing to do with ink color.

It depends on the artist, some charge for color and some don't. I just got a colorful flower on my ankle and it cost me $70. But it was at an expo and I did a lot of flirting with the guy who did it. : )- That works too!

YES they cost more, the more detailed or colorful they are the more they cost. u could cut down the colors and the price will go down but any good artist will tell u this before they started putting the ink on

Do you want the tattoo to be colorful and be what you want it to be, or do you want a cheaper version of it?
Which would you be happier with in the long run, this is a tattoo, it's permanent. Please think about spending a couple extra bucks to get what you really want, or be stuck with a sub-standard piece of art.
It won't cost that much more and you'll be happy that you did it. I promise!

mostly the level of detail influences the price but the amount of different colors used also plays a part in it, as the artist uses more supplies and time.
