I haven't yet... and to be honest, I hope never to be given reason to. Afterall, if I lose faith in mankind, I lose faith in myself! I've lost faith in religion and the just-ness of life - it's hard to maintain faith in things that you can't see.

If you think of people on mass, then it's easy to spot the stupidity, malice and every bad thing that brings out the worst in the world. Looking at things that way it's easy to lose faith, but if you think of people as individuals, you can spot all the wonderful things that mankind is capable of: Ghandi, Mother Theresa, Leonardo DaVinci, The Beatles, Billy Connolly!

People are wonderful! They can bring so much happiness, beauty and comfort. It's the things they believe in that cause the problems - so don't believe in things you can't see, and believe in people instead - and never let yourself lose faith in them.

I guess I've lost faith in mankind's lies and fantasy (Money, government's, certain religious attitudes etc) but not in mankind itself. There's only us to make or break the world and each other. We all make mistakes, but as long as we're still here, there's hope. Cue stirring music...

I haven't completely lost all faith in mankind. Occasionally 'life' throws in a few surprises, even to the most hardened of cynics, like me. Also something can happen, or some act of kindness, no matter how big or small, occurs and briefly restores my faith in humanity.
Generally though, we have become a nation of cynics, are you asking a personal question here, or generalising, "Wen did WE lose faith in each other" - would of been more appropriate.
Personally I lost my faith when Marathon bars changed there name to 'Snickers' and Opal fruits and....

I never had faith in mankind. My faith rests solely in Jesus Christ -- part of our triune God. Some individuals are quite evil and the liberal press delights in touting their evil deeds. That press is now in a feeding frenzy over the Mark Foley tragedy, but how much have you read or heard about the U. S. scientists sweeping the Nobel prizes for advances in the sciences? Volumes were printed about abuses in Iraq by U. S. military personnel, but how much have you read or heard about the humanitarian work done in Iraq by that same military?

Before you give up on life, which is really what this question is about, do a little research in places other than our rabid, left wing media.

I never really had very much faith in mankind as a child. I started to have hopes that we will improve, but every time I log onto Y!AR&S I realize how stubborn Christians are and that hope dwindles away.

along time ago when I realised that we are a cancer that is slowly spreading around the world till we destroy all good parts before metastatising other planets were the same will happen.

as individuals we are obsessed with money and power and dont think about our health and others, we should be defeating all terminal illnesses before we explore outer space.

not many people realise we are born into an illness lottery were we are randomly selected to die from f**ked up illnesses like cancer and neuro diseases.

I lost my faith in mankind when I was at infants school and realised that it really doesn't matter whether you are right or wrong if the bullying egotist who is your teacher decides that you are a suitable victim for their spite. Every school was the same, staffed by incompetent egotists who delight in ruining children's lives.
