if my food is out of date in the uk ,and i fly to the usa and its in date is it ok to eat it?

No, the date on the food was set for the uk not america

To some extent it depends what the food is and how well you have stored it; supermarkets tend to be very risk-averse in their labelling of 'sell-by' and 'eat-by' dates and I've cheerfully ignored the dates on things like jams, pickles, eggs, bread, cheese, etc., but would be much more risk-averse on fresh meats and fish (especially!). It's at your own risk, of course, but personally I've not been too bothered by a few days here or there ...

Yes it will be fine, because the manufacturer would have built a "margin of safety" into the shelf life of the produce.

This has gotta be a retorical question !! would depend on
where the food was processed...plus... you cannot
fly to USA with food !! haha ! .... (I just love this site !!)

It should be ok to eat but if its something fresh (like milk or vegetables) it might not taste that good.
