As an Atheist, I do not believe in ghosts or angels, however, stories must come from somewhere, no matter how wild, there must be a seed of truth in the myth. A lot of faith comes from a lack of understanding about what we see and truth itself may actually be hidden from us. Thus we create belief, therefore faith is what we want it to be and not necessarily truth.You may find that an alien race happen to look like winged men with golden hair and beautiful voices when in actual fact they could be robots. No one can prove whether or not they are mortal or not or even whether or not they even exist as such, we make up stories and beliefs in order to explain the unknown, to give us hope, so we do not fear.

Angels are like Super humans and way beyond any technology we can comprehend.
During the Angelic Conflict, The Fallen Angels were not permitted to kill any humans but to torture them for five months.
Angels study the objects of maximum Grace, Fallen, depraved and unworthy human beings.
So you are not that far out of line. This was revealed in the fall of the Satanic plan for offensive action in Human History.
There are many other Angels besides Satan's Angels though that study us day to day, and they are very real.

Angels are beings of cosmic power. They are immensely powerful and capable of doing damn near anything. They don't need technology. Aliens might pretend to be angels, but that's entirely different. Angels also cannot 'fall from Grace' as they do not actually possess free will.

actually some of the "angels" are "super-advanced humans" of a sort....
and whats this nonsense about angels being above us? if anything humans are above angels.
between angels and humans humans are signifigantly more favored....

We are superhumans with advanced technology. Our souls, spirituality, is not as advanced. Why is it ,when humans die, a large portion of our brain goes unused. ? Why are we not "tapping into" it ? (blah, blah, blah )
