The human being certainly has tremendous intelligence; he is also supposed to have free will, then why has the human being been unable to combine his intelligence and his free will to make the world a better place?

I don't think that man has free will. We can be predicted, and so we'll act in an exact way according to the circumstances. We are a product of what is out of our control and so where is our control?

Just because humanity has free will and intelligence does not mean this world would be a better place, because man has something else that ruins it.. namely no common sence, selfishness.. mankind( including women) use there so called resources to make themselves better rather then thinking of others. Now if you said that if all beleived in Christ then this world would be a better place to live.

Those who combine their intelligence and free will to remove the suffering of the world are called Saints.
Saints are above their own self. So they are able to give solace to millions of seekers. Rest are all selfish. so they make the world a bad place

The variable of evil that gives man a free will against good.

the tremendous explosion in intelligence was predicted in the Bible during the last generation before the end.

God is going to finalize man's decisions and get rid of the evil and make it a better place soon.

Free will does not necessary means good intentions and high intelligence. Our world leaders are mainly well educated intelligent people. Unfortunately they are only aiming for power & money at any cost. Their decisions affect millions & yet their choices are made with no consideration for tomorrow. There is no love for our brothers & sisters - only profits?

He was given "free will" by God, and man chose evil. Yes, they are intelligence, but that does not mean they are any better morally speaking. How many intelligent people have turned on their own people and wound up murdering thousands. Russia, Iraq, so many, even Germany, they were very intelligent people, but just were swayed by evil. They looked the other way, just as people do today, they do not want to know the truth.

If you cannot control power, then it's not power, it's a weakness. Intelligence is good, but you can be intelligent in doing bad things. Hitler had excellent intelligence but in a negative way. His free will made him such. If you don't know what is good and wrong, then your intelligence can result in evil doings. You cannot combine intelligence and freewill, you must combine intelligence with the guidelines, universal belief of what is good and wrong.

This would happen if it wasn't for the negative aspects of human beings, with free will and intelligence: Greed, lust for power, controlling others, etc.
We need to control these aspects and understand they are there, then humanity can make real progress.

Because everyone is hard wired differently. If you ask anyone the perfect world it would be slightly different or somethings wouldn't be there at all...
You could ask Hitler or Stalin or JFK what they were doing and they would answer "trying to make the world a better place for me"
