With guts and teamwork, an average team can beat a good one if they are well organised, have a flexible strategy and are motivated. Scotland being at home helped and as always a bit of luck. Scotland have always been there or there about but just never got the breaks that other teams do (moan moan). In the last few years we have beaten Holland, drawn with Germany, taken Italy to the brink on their home turf and so on.

Fairly easily from what I saw.
It just goes to prove that you can't trust the opinions of the so-called experts who said France would walk all over Scotland.

We scored one goal and France did not score.
We played like a club side and that's not a bad thing.11 guys pulling in one direction is hard to beat.

They used the cunning strategy of having 10 men in defence and 1 forward coupled with the blistering tactic of booting the ball as far away from their goal as possible at every opportunity. Seemed to work. World domination here we come! :-D Also, they didn't fall over as often as the French did.

Something to do with them putting the ball in the goal net more times than the other team. You'll find it often works like that.
