I find more questions and answers for quarrelling, criticism and enmity than for love and unity.
I firmly believe that the fundamental purpose of all religions is for love and unity. Therefore, I think that the person who claims to be believer must show love and other glorious aspects of spirituality. Otherwise, his religion is not true and he is the one that lowers the meaning of the word religion to a blind belief.
Dear religious friends, why don't we rethink and try to render praise to our One True God by manifesting His divine names and attributes? Of course, I am far from being a perfect believer, so I think that we should judge ourselves first and make improvement based on our Holy Books. It is not by enmity, but by love we will win human hearts for our all-loving God.

I am very encouraged with the feedback. There is more love and understanding, more faith and effort to look for knowledge, more controversy too (and this became natural for the last few centuries!). Thank you and wish to receive more various opinions.

TO UPLIFT ONE ANOTHER-
I am sorry for all the really hateful answers you may have to endure to get a straight answer- I feel when we talk about our faiths and beliefs we make them stronger- Also it is a healthy way to fellowship with others and enlighten ourselves. There is always room to learn- I hope you get some positive feed back. good luck I liked your question

To answer your initial question of why do I ask questions here.......? Well, I can't speak for anyone else, but I am an agnostic (not an athieta) person. I admit, I am somewhat skeptical of what I often see as "blind faith" in a book written by .......(who?) with no verifiable sources.

However, just as I hesitate to believe in a Supreme Being that I can neither hear nor see, by the same token, I have the same hesitation in disbelieving, because I realize that there is much about life, the universe, etc.. that is yet unknown to me, much to anyone else either, AFAIK. So, I have an open mind about the whole subject. Maybe there is proof, but I have never seen/heard/experienced myself.

Fact is, I just don't know, but am interested and intreagued by the subject, and I am always willing to hear what others have to say on the subject (or any subject for that matter), just so long as they are offering an opinion, and not doing any unwanted preaching or attempted coercion.

But, that's just me.

"The fundamental purpose of all religions is for love and unity". This statement glosses over the truth of Christianity. The fundamental purpose of Christianity is Jesus Christ dying for you, me, and for all people. No other religion has a god that sacrifices itself for anyone. The love of God the Father,God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit is unconditional and beyond our puny little minds.
The truth is Jesus Christ, given for you and all.
Thanks be to god.

Me, I do it cause I want to engender quarreling and disputation, but that's just me.
You, on the other hand, are sweet and polite, and you want to sing praises of god and stuff like that.

But your entreaty will not convince anyone, and especially not the people who believe they are already saved and will have a special pass on Judgment Day. Those people, and me too, will keep on doing the stuff you protest. Sorry.

Well said !!!

Maybe we ask questions and give answers here as a kind of entertainment. The believers look at the atheists like grotesque animals in a zoo. And the atheists see the believers as, "How quaint!"

And it's hard to tell who's who anyway. A lot of folks here seem to be playing Devil's Advocate and/or going for the shock value.

Anyway, hope you enjoy. ;-)

We all fall short from the glory of God. I am here to learn about people. I want to spread the word of God, the Gospel. Sometimes I ask questions about contradictions so we can better know the Bible. I am here for the love for my Lord.

Seeing they may see and not perceive, and hearing they may hear and not understand, Lest they should turn, and their sins be forgiven them.

Love offers a taste of the character of God.
We are not to flee from or flight against those that unnerve, but disarm them with a Bold Love of empathy, and hospitality.

The best time to come here is when the americans are sleeping. They make things way too complicated.

I like that, very well said and so true. But in here you have all types, even the ones that worship the fallen one.
