I might feel guilt if someones feelings were hurt because I had no interest in them.But I try not to base things on whether or not I am more or less into someone.In my mind, I am either into someone or I am not.There is no degree to measure.And so nothing to feel guilty about in that regard.
The closest thing that happened where someone was into me more then I was into them was when a childhood friend had a romantic crush on me when we got older.I just wanted to be friends.I did not feel guilt for this.It was just how it was.I care about her a lot but I am not going to be more then I can be.And we have become the best of friends.

its always an ego trip but dont abuse this because u might be the one on the other side. about feeling guilty just depend how far u let this thing go good luck

Quite the opposite. I find it rather uncomfortable knowing how it will end up being resolved.
If you find that it is an ego trip for you then you need to spend a lot more time developing your mind and understanding yourself...if you are capable of doing that.

no i do not get a ego trip....i like the feelings to be mutual myself...i do not like to hurt or to be hurt either....

I used to, but now i see it as really inconvenient especially if they are not very "sensory", i.e: not very good at reading other peoples signals.
I.e.: give them very neutral signals and they still fancy you months later

my girlfriend never does, and it seems to work fine for her.
