many churches have become the giant beggers to the extent that they scare thier members to fellowship on sundays. I want to know whether churches can turn into economic benefactors to their followers instead of giant Sunday beggars from the poorest.

I think a huge part of the money issue is the need to make payments on facilities, especially mortgages. But in my opinion, churches need to stop emphasizing buildings altogether and start emphasizing people. Jesus never said anything about a building program--He talked about PEOPLE. I think far too much money is spent on church mortgages and mortgage interest when, if each congregation was truly trusting God, they wouldn't need to borrow a dime. I've written a few blog entries about churches and money or other resources, at the links below. Feel free to chime in on my blog.

If they didn't beg, they would crash under their own weight. Besides, if they stop begging, and start living by the high life, they might end up like Jehovah's Witnesses, who never beg of money. Not even for Katrina victims. They didn't need to.

I give to God/Church out of love. God loves me enough to give me everything. I give back to Creation in the same spirit. The more I give the more I receive. God gets me work, cars, relationship & I pay 10% to the Goodness of Eternal Truth. 10% of verything I receive belongs to the Good Force of Creation. Watch out for automatic withdrowal!
I know that the more I give the more I receive.

God does not want your money, He wants your heart. And when you give your heart to God, you learn to be a cheerful giver for the Kingdom purposes. If you do not trust your church, attend the other one until you find your church home.

Then make that church stronger with your contribution. God does not ask equal money, He asks for an equal sacrifice.

NO CHURCH OF GOD WILL BE IN ECONOMIC BONDAGE!!!

That should tell you something. A true church of God is not begging, but prospering in sight of men and will have all needs met, by those who are also being blessed to be a blessing in the church.
