No one knows for sure. When Jesus has appeared to people in visions, He has never been observed to sing. He's always been accompanied by hosts of angels who seemed to specialize in the singing. This system apparently free up Jesus to speak, much as a minister would speak in front of a singing choir. (At other times, Jesus simply nods and smiles. This seems to depend on whether the people to whom He is appearing require actual words, or if a brief but undeniable Glimpse o' The Lord is enough to blow their skirts up, so to speak.)

Having said that, there is good evidence that Jesus not only sang in Biblical times, but that He continues to sing today (since, after all, He is technically still alive, though not in the usual sense).

The most obvious indication of this is the large amount of music that occurs around Christmas, the time of year when Jesus's birth is traditionally celebrated (even though He was actually born sometime in April; the celebration was moved to the last month of the year to give people more time to save up for gifts).

You see, virtually all Christmas music is vocal music. It bears to reason that if Jesus was truly uninterested in singing, He would certainly have made His Displeasure known to us. After all, His Father never held back expressing His Opinions about things (at least back in Biblical times, when people still kept accurate records of that kind of thing).

Considering Jesus's well-documented fondness for wine and flying animals, most people believe that His favorite Christmas song would be "Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer". In almost parable-like fashion, this song illustrates the importance of faith, bravery, and the willingness to accomplish difficult tasks to please large white-bearded men who zoom through the sky dispensing judgments about good and evil (i.e. presents vs. lumps of coal).

What is not so certain is whether, when Jesus sings, He can keep a good beat. But that is a subject for a different question.

P.S.: When you refer to Jesus, please remember to capitalize "He", "Him", "His", and so on. Most people think this is simply a sign of respect. However, the capital H resembles a pair of football goalposts---representing the "ultimate goal" of achieving eternal life through the "divine touchdown" of Jesus, the Holy Wide Receiver, upon the Earth.

Cheers, Ander

It isn't the voice, it's the message. So even though Jesus may have had many listeners, they were listening because of the message, not his voice. Have you ever liked a song because of the meaning? I believe God is up there listening to a thousand bad singers but loving every minute of it, because even though their voices may be bad, their hearts are filled with love. By the way, mine is one of the bad ones I'm sure.

Of course He could sing. I bet they did a lot of singing when they sat around the campfire and He taught the Word to His followers.

Why do you want to know? At the last supper, he and his disciples sang a hymn; it says so in at least one of the accounts.
So if he sang once then he could sing, otherwise he would not have sang once. If you can't do something you can't do it and so you don't do it once. But presumably he sang at least once.

If you meant to ask "Could he sing well?" then ask it. I have no answer for that one though.

I'd guess so. You make a good point there; plus, in Judaism, prayers are often sung rather than spoken, so he likely had quite a bit of practice!

I BELIEVE JESUS I SAVING IS SINGING VOICE FOR A SONG HE WILL SING THAT ONLY THE ANOINTED ONES WILL HEAR/UNDERSTAND AS HE BECKONS THEM UP THE SIDE OF THE MOUNTAIN BEFORE THY SEND INTO HEAVEN. HIS VOICE W ILL BE SO STRONG AND MELODIC THE BIRDS WILL BE IN AWE OF ITS GLORY. I F A BIRD CAN SING AND LET US KNOW WE WOKE TO ANOTHER DAY OF LIFE THEN JESUS CAN SING OF A NEW BEGINNING FOR MANKIND. AND THE WORDS OF HIS SONG WILL DISRUPT SATAN'S THOUGHTS, CONFUSE HIM AND RENDER HIM USELESS AND BOUND FOR DESTRUCTION.
