It has been written more than once in ancient religious texts that God regretted ever having made humankind.
One function of the concept of god may have been that it was a way to step back and look at the human race through god's eyes.

But it's hard to really know, if there were a god whether he would like us. In ancient times one version of god was a hands-on god who did all kinds of things, but mostly was disapproving of the human race. In our time god doesn't do much of anything, and doesn't seem to express opinions about anything, and presumably is preoccupied with other things.

Lacking this divine involvement, people who still believe in a god generally try to glean as much as possible from ancient texts, assuming that god never changes.
One optimistic view is the Christian version, more recent, which says that god is love.

Whether god is love or not, the fact is that god now says nothing; and you all are left to make your own suppositions about whether god likes us.

God indeed Loves us , so much so that he gave us His son as a payment for our wrongs. In the Gospel of John chpt.3 verse 16 He tells us so. If you look in your heart deeply you will see that he does. Ask God now if he likes you. You will hear yes or no. If the latter then ask Him to show you how to be loved by asking Him to forgive you and asking for Jesus to show you the way to God. I pray this answers your question.

of course God likes us, in fact he loves us because he is good and incapable of negative emotions like hate or maliciousness. I think it s a matter of we don't like ourselves and that is evident in our self destructive behaviour, i.e. binge drinking, smoking too much, over eating etc etc. i think it is wrong of people to blame God when things go wrong because it is people that do bad things to others, i.e. it was Hitler that decided to massacre all those Jews, or even us human beings that have slowly been exhausting the earth of its natural resources and burning them that has caused the green house effect and the cause of many natural disasters. Even when people close to us die, we can't blame God because we all know that death is a part of life. So yes God does like us, but we choose to not like ourselves through our blessing and curse of free will.

I believe God Loves everyone despite their flaws. If u haven't done anything seriously wrong (as in hurting others) then he loves you a great deal and if u have done something really wrong but happen to repent it, he'll still love u and he'll guide u. If u do wrong stuff but don't repent it, he'll still wait for the day you do feel sorry for your acts and then he'll be happy to accept u and guide you. SO no matter what, God loves u :-)

He doesn't just like us - He loves us!!! Why else would He have taken on human flesh and sacrificed Himself on the cross for ours sins so that we could have a place in Heaven with Him instead of Hell if He didn't?

YES! God definitely loves us and likes us no matter who or what we came to be. That's why He made us in the first place and died for us to save us from our sins.

God is Love. Sometimes we feel like He is faraway. But he is close to us as a heartbeat. Its actually easy to find Him. He's waiting. We all have a free will.

Loved with everlasting love,
led by grace that love to know,
Spirit breathing from above,
thou hast taught me it is so.
o this full and perfect peace!
o this treasure so divine!
in a love which cannot cease
i am His and he is mine.

Heaven above is softer blue,
earth around is sweeter green;
something lives in every hue,
Christless eyes have never seen:
birds with gladder songs o'erflow,
flowers with deeper beauties shine,
since i know as now i know,
i am His and he is mine.

Anyone who's ever loved someone knows that it's quite possible to love someone without liking them all the time. Love isn't a higher condition of like; it's something quite different.

In answer, I'd say sometimes.
