I just woke up with an annoying pain in my legs and hips and I cannot seem to fall back asleep. It hurts just sitting here. Does anyone know why or experience anything similar and can help me out?

.........probably you've slept on it wrong and a muscle is swelled, or as we get when we get older,or from a certain type of employment, you've gotten your bones out of line. I'm serious....I couldn't get relief from hip pain, and I was limping.........went to a chiropractor.and my left leg was hanging an inch longer than the other leg.......explains the limping.......and my hip was out of line....causing the pain "JUST SITTING THERE (like you). He adjusted my leg and I walked out of there.........no limp..and feeling better !!!!!! -a fluke incident that's never re-occured. IT'S DEFINATELY WORTH LOOKING INTO !!!!!!!!!! If this is the case....being out of whack causes surrounding muscles to swell and you'll need to go to a chiropractor to get alligned.....it won't heal itself........I've been there.....

Good Luck...
Sincerely,
"been there before"

Plus.......I'm sorry you asked a sincere health question and so many people found it humerous....they need to take their immaturity to a more fitting chat room......ignore it !!!!!!!! Maybe God will allow them to suffer sometime.....HA........HA.!!!!! FUNNY !!!! HA....HA.......HA............HA........HA.........HA.......!!!!!!!.
( Just being dumb.....I just find it amazing the rudeness of idiots.........
Good Luck !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Drink some water. Cramps are oftentimes caused by a lack of water in your system. Also, try eating a banana. Lack of potassium can also cause pains. If neither of these works, make an appointment to see your doctor. This could be something that needs to be treated medically.

Is your boyfriend on top of you when you're waking up? Maybe had your legs behind your ears? Just wondering.
