My bf has 200 some odd movies on his shelf. I have lived with hime for 8 months and can't remember which ones I have seen until I read the entire back or start it partway. I go to w-mart with him and graba movie off the shelf adn say gee this looks good adn he lovingly reminds me its on his shelf and that I fell asleep through the first half of it. I forget peoples names 2 seconds after i find out what it is. I forget my grocery list. I confuse actors and actress's names and their story lines. I can't remember my bf fav sport team or his favorite player. I can't remember names of cars unless we talk about it a million times. Sometimes when I am tired I get really spacy and even slur my words. My attitude gets really neg and I can't help but snap at people. I think I am a really pos person but this is irritating me. I am young still. Should i seek help or is this a matter of paying more attention and going with the flo? Do I just not consider this import info and discard it?

You should get medical evaluation for this. It may be that you need to be more patient with yourself and pay more attention, and if you forgot stuff just re-learn it. Noone is required to remember absolutely everything that goes through their brains. But it may be that you actualy need medical help.

I can't remember a movie I saw yesterday, but that's because it was super-boring and I wasn't really paying attention.

Ya, you will go through short term memory loss. it is because of the sensory overload. while a individual is attempting to do too many projects or hardship approximately too many stuff on the comparable time, the techniques is overloaded with information and can't technique short-term memories. subsequently, if a individual is attempting to bear in mind a great form of records, she or he has a tendency to overlook automobile keys or scheduled appointments.

Just try to relax and dont take it serious

first buy a memo and write everything you do in it

try as hard as you can to remember what you wrote in the memo each hour with your bf help

dont waste your memory on useless things

eating chocolate would improve your memory

hopefully this might help

I don't think there is anything seriously wrong with you. I have a bad memory too. I would suggest trying to consume more omega-3. You can get it in tablet form, and it is present in fish such as salmon. There have been many studies that show that it significantly improves memory and attention spans. And its natural! I would try to gets some tablets, but right now I am stuck in another country were they aren't avalible.

Honest question okay? Are you smoking pot? Sounds like it to me. I am not judging you, just saying that thats what it sounds like. Or do you drink alcohol heavily?

Other things, do you drink diet soda? Phenylalanine is the stuff in diet Coke and diet Pepsi that makes them "diet", it will cause you to have short term memory loss.

Ask your doctor about any prescription meds you take. Check your diet. What kind of foods do you eat? Junk? Not getting enough vitamins? etc.

Check that stuff first before you freak out

This does sound like something of concern. Have you had any recent blows to the head? Surgeries, particuarly in the head area? I would go see your doctor, or a mental health specialist.

I wonder if you should go to a pdoc and seek an evaluation. Do you have flighty thoughts, and find it hard to concentrate? Could be ADD. Could be a million other things too.
