I scratch like crazy on my skin behind my ear, in my ear too. Dry skin. It peels when its dry (especially after the shower). I use white cream to minimize the itch prescribed by my doctor.

Eczema is an inflammation of the skin which causes: dryness, flakiness, heat radiation from area, and itching. There is presently not a cure for eczema but research continues to look for results on this condition. You can reduce the discomfort and distress which eczema can bring with a wide range of treatments which are available, either over the counter at the pharmacy, or on prescription from a doctor. Usually in cream or spray form. You can also try an antihistamine - but you may want to get a non-sleepy one! Since so many factors affect why a person develops eczema, a treatment plan that works for one person may not effectively control eczema in another person. Sometimes it takes a bit of trying this and that to find an effective treatment plan for your problem.

Eczema isn't contagious like a cold, but most people with eczema have family members with the condition. Eczema is fairly common — approximately 1 in 10 people in the world will be affected by it at some point in their lives.

It is not deadly.

Good luck.

My little boy had eczema on his cheeks. I was not sure what method to use but I didn't want to make my boy go through any surgery treatments at this young age. Some suggested a plastic surgeon since it was in a very visible location but our family doctor recommend this natural guide.

If you are referring to dry skin (eczema), no, it isn't harmful. But it is a symptom of the fact that your body is severely dehydrated.

You probably can get rid of it simply by doing a few simple things...
1. Drink 8-10 glasses of water a day.

2. Cut out coffee, tea, cigarettes. They suck the moisture out of skin.

3. Cut way down on your intake of sodium and salt. Too much salt can cause your body to lose too much water. Processed meats, soy sauce, cheese, potato chips, etc. are all very high in salt.

4. Eat dark green leafy vegetables every day -- parsley, romaine lettuce, spinach, collard greens, cilantro, mint, etc. These will give your skin the minerals it needs to hold on to water in your body. Eighty percent of your diet needs to be vegetables because they are alkaline.

5. Switch to a less drying, non-allergenic soap...like olive oil soap.

6. Don't drink soda pop...it can cause the skin cells to mutate and it depresses your immune system.

If you follow these suggestions, you will most likely get rid of eczema...probably within a month. Avoid taking drugs. You have the condition because your body is imbalanced. It needs to be naturally re-balanced...not further chemicalized with pharmaceutical drugs.

Eczema patients can avoid scratchy fibers for softer ones like bamboo, cotton, or silk, which are gentler on the skin. Opting to buy organic fibers can also be a wise, healthy, and eco-friendly alternative. Learn here https://tr.im/AxWrX
