The Red Sea bottom is very similar to the surrounding dry land terrain. Sandy and rocky, with a lot of coral, most of that concentrated around reefs.
If there was any significant deposit of silt on the bottom, it would have been moved aside along with the water, leaving a very nice and quite level "road" for the Israelites to follow.
Probably nice and cool, too.
Jacques Cousteau and his crew actually lived on the bottom of the Red Sea for a month or so, back in the 1960's.
They made a movie documenting their experiences called "World Without Sun".
Clear water, relatively firm sea bottom. Very little muck or silt.

If you had followed the Bible on it, you would have read that the soldiers that followed them were drowned. Recently there have been pieces of armors dating back to around that time, found at the bottom of that sea, the very same sea. Coincidence? That's for you to think about it.

it was specified to have been made "dry shod"
and thus, no issue whatsoever.
iirc scientifically they have found a spot in the sea of reeds, where its relatively shallow, and such that with the tide being right, and if there were certain gusting winds that are not impossible there, it could push the water out of the way to make a path, for a relatively short time, (long enough to pass) and in such a way that it'd appear dry, or something like that.
I don't remember the details or have a link or anything. but its not scientifically impossible. ..... just a wonderfully bizzare, "lucky" timing... if you don't belive in the religious aspects.

The underwater photos of the wreckage of Pharoah's army that you can find anywhere online show everything to be sitting on the earth's surface, not sticking up from underneath.

People who make light of religion are either atheists or uninvolved and demeaning the Jewish faith isn't funny either. If you feel like a comedian try Comedy Central instead of a religious question and answer forum.

Because it is a story. We all like stories, don't take them literally. It's like asking what Charlie Brown did when Linus told him about the Great Pumpkin. Charlie didn't believe, Linus did. Who's right? We'll never know.
