Well, I was lazing around smoking a spliff one day and it just seemed like a good idea at the time yer know!

Mind you, I had no idea how much trouble they'd cause with all that begetting, so after a while, I reckoned that the only fair thing to do was to euthanase the whole lot. So, I drowned them all off except for one family. I had to keep them 'cos the rhinoceroses just couldn't get the boat idea to work so Noah and his family had to do all the work. Never mind, they won't last long anyway, the komodo dragons 'll get 'em and my zoo will run properly again.
Maybe I'll let the hunans last a while, they're more fun to watch than the monkeys anyway. Besides, since they managed to discover fire (or so they think. Actually, I sent one of my servants Prometheus down to give them a hand. They kept cooking themselves and offering me great chunks but since I made them non kosher, I couldn't even eat the stuff) they've been trying all sorts of new foods. The burnt offerings have improved dramatically. no more of that burnt sheep tail, now I get rosettes of lamb with roast potatoes and peas - all thanks to that pukka guy who tries to improve everybody's diet. So, maybe humans have their uses. Must go now, got to turn myself into a bull ready for an appointment with one of my nicer looking creations.

He is complete in himself & did not need to create anything else. However, out of love he created the spirit and physical universe, including of course, us - 1 JOHN 4:8

Thank you for the question
Any more intelligent bible questions?

I think we're facets of God that chose to experience free will in a material universe-I don't think of us as being created by God but rather as being an integral part of God the universal oneness.

The answer can be found in the New Testament. Colossians Chapter 1 v 16.

For by him all things were created: things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or powers or rulers or authorities; all things were created by him and for him.

So looks to me like he created us for Himself

Revelation 4:11 Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honour and power: for thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created.

We are here for HIS pleasure but think about this. Often a loving parent will buy their children things. An ice cream on a hot day, a hot dog at the zoo. Why do they do this? Do they not get pleasure seeing their children get pleasure?

Still, when our children are doing things that could harm them, do we not correct them, often in ways that that child may thing..."you just do not want me to have fun" This is the very reason GOD has placed guidelines called "laws" or commandments. He does not want to see us harmed.

If your child were in mortal danger, would not you risk your life for them? GOD did give HIS life as Jesus Christ so that we could have eternal life.

God created us for His sake. He wants a people that would willingly choose to be like Him.

God created man to show His greatest power, which is love. by creating man, who fell and then coming to our rescue through Christ Jesus God was able to show all beings both physical and spiritual that He is so full of love that He will become what He created, go through pain and torture then eventually die for us. so more or less He created man for our pleasure and to bring Glory to His name.

God bless

God created us for his own pleasure.

But this is not a selfish pleasure.

God promises to share all that he has and all that he is with all of us.

It's a classic win-win.

Just the kinds of things God does all the time.
