Its A Really Gud Car, Pretty And Spacious, & It Has Been Tested For Indian Roads, As A Matter Of fact I Own One In Pune. ANd Its Fun Driving It On The Express Way. Its Maintenence Is not High And Service Centers Easily Availble.

Performance wise, the Swift is the best hatch-back available today, other than Chevrolet SR-V which is about 3-lakhs costlier.
On practicality front, the only apparent problem is its very limited boot space, however the ergonomics and cabin space are good.
Given the fact that marutis have good resale value and the swift is a relatively recent launch, you won't be getting a very good deal on a well maintained car... so i suggest you go for a new one

for mumbai roads the petrol consumption will burn a big hole as the swift is heavy on petrol. other things aside a indica(deisel) is a good choice for bombay roads, provided you are not brand consiensous or have pot full of money to spend on transportation.
