No recipe but ... the difference between gelato and ice cream is gelato has more flavor and twice the sugar of regular ice cream

Gelato is ice cream with gelatin added.

it's the same thing. the only reason people think it is different is because ice cream in Italy comes in different flavors and is usually always fresh
