Yes, you would lose weight but you would regain the weight as soon as you started to eat "normally " again. To lose weight permanently you neeed to eat a balanced diet with smaller portions, and to do some form of "balanced" exercise to the point where you are burning more calories than you are taking in.

First of all, controlling weight is a part of being healthy; meaning it becomes a lifestyle and not a quick fix to lose some pounds. So, would you want to eat heka fruit forever? Probably not. Yes, eating fruit is good for you and can help you loose weight since you aren't eating the other carbs your would normally consume but once you go back to eating normally, if it isn't healthy you will just regain the weight and some more. The idea is to change your lifestyle way of eating, eat smaller portions of healthy foods more often (every 3-4 hours) and only eat those delicious calorie filled foods one day a week. The trick is to eat healthy 6 days a week with moderate exercise and have one day a week to indulge so you can shock your body to recognize good and bad foods and your body will regulate. Honestly, you can't eat healthy all the time, we have holidays and just days where we want something more indulgent, and there is nothing wrong with that just as long as we have a normal healthy diet. Your best bet is not to pick a diet but a lifestyle change in eating.
I don't know how old you are but not eating right for the rest of your life will lead to heart problems, diabetes and many other problems. "Crash" dieting is unhealthy and can lead to many more health problems and excessive weight gain causing more health problems.
Just find a healthy meal plan and excersise plan that works for you and only indulge every now and again.

Eating only fruit will not do you good... MODERATION is the key. Everything in moderation gives you a good nutrition for the body and soul. DId you know that some foods like a banana can keep you from getting depressed? But if you don't eat any proteins you lose muscle and brain power? Fat is good too... not in industrial size, but in moderation. Actually if you have a chance to look at the nutritional pyramid you will realize each group of food is good for something.
Losing weight just for the sake of losing weight is the stupidest thing anyone has ever produced. Eating smart, and nourishing your body and mind and soul... yeah, soul.... is the way to go. When changing your diet one should consider a healthy approach as opposed to a weight loss oriented program. Usually if you don't consider the health factors and go on a diet, you will do more harm than if you lived with a few extra pounds.
I hope you see where I am coming from with this.

I don't know what heka fruit is. If you eat nothing but fruit, you will lose weight. Expect to spend a lot of time in the bathroom. Drink lots of water or you may dehydrate.

Is heka the name of a fruit or do you mean a heck of a lot of fruit?
If you are overweight chances are you would lose if you ate lots of raw fruit.
You should add lots of fresh raw vegetables to that for good balance.
Eat them separately though.
Fruit only on an empty stomach and raw vegetables on their own or with either cooked vegetables, starches, or well done meat.

If you're talking about fresh fruit, (not the ones canned in sugar) then yes you would loose weight...
I don't recommend this though... you still need proteins and carbs to give you energy..

contrary to what everyone here has said, you certainly can gain weight eating only fruit. while it does take a lot of fruit to reach 2,000 calories, it is possible, and it does not matter that there is 'no fat' (which some fruit DOES have)--calories are calories, and if you eat enough of them you will gain.

fruit has a lot of sugar which can easily turn into fat. I would go on a meatless diet for about 6 weeks or depending upon how much I want to loose.

You would lose weight, because you arent eating anything such as fat, that will make you put it on. The sugar in the fruit will not affect your weight, as there is so little

You would probably lose weight. For one thing if that is all you ate it would give you very loose stool.
