The top downfall was DISOBEDIENCE!!!

Adam and Eve disobeyed God by eating the apple which allowed the other heronious acts of man. The top downfall was disobedience, not jealousy or lies or pride.

Realizing that everyone has sinned and fallen short of the glory (Romans 3:23), it's hard to pinpoint a given downfall for all of mankind.

We are all created in the image of God, but because gave us free will, we are drawn away, lustful for, and enticed by different things. For instance I may drawn away and enticed by food and you maybe enticed by women. It is the evil that a person wants that tempts him or her. One's own evil desire leads him [her] away and hold him [her] captive. This desire causes sin. Then the sin grows and eventually brings forth death. James 1:12-15

For another illustration take these scriptures into consideration. Rom. 5:12, "Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned." Rom. 5:19, "For as by one man's disobedience many were made sinners."

But we do know this, "God's [holy] wrath and indignation are revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who in their wickedness repress and hinder the truth and make it inoperative." Romans 1:18

But Proverbs 6:16-19 does give a little insight on sins that God really hates.
Here are six things God hates,
and one more that he loathes with a passion:
eyes that are arrogant,
a tongue that lies,
hands that murder the innocent,
a heart that hatches evil plots,
feet that race down a wicked track,
a mouth that lies under oath,
a troublemaker in the family.

"But the cowardly, the unbelieving, the vile, the murderers,
the sexually immoral, those who practice magic arts,
the idolaters and all liars -- their place will
be in the fiery lake of burning sulfur.
This is the second death" (Rev. 21:8).

"Do you not know that the wicked will not inherit
the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived:
Neither the sexually immoral nor idolaters nor adulterers
nor male prostitutes nor homosexual offenders nor thieves
nor the greedy nor drunkards nor slanderers nor swindlers
will inherit the kingdom of God" (1 Cor. 6:9,10).

*To clarify something that I said earlier, food is not evil and neither is an attraction for the opposite sex. It's the intent behind an occurrence that helps to determine whether or not it is acceptable. The Bible says "let a man examine himself"...and "for a man to do know to do right and do it not, to that man it is a sin.?

You don't need three. Pride stands alone at the top, and every other moral compromise is rooted in pride. For instance, we're only jealous of what we wish to be proud of (I'd be proud if my neighbor's Ferrari were mine), and we only lie to save or enhance our pride.

That sounds right to me. I don't know for sure....I wasn't there and I can only give you my personal interpretation of anything I've ever read in a book.

My answer is yes....makes sense to me.....because the opposite would be Humility, Love and Truth? (or something like that).

I think pride covers the rest, if you do that then the others come easy. If you feel you are above all others then you can do no wrong.
