Suppose that the patient who is taking Anti-TB is going on GI operation and he or she must be in situation of nothing by mouth for 2 days post op. Should the patient stop drugs? Any chance of drug resistance?

A few days should make no difference, if the patient is well along in treatment.

Just becasue they will be nill by mouth doesn't mean they cannot take antibiotics. Instead, as long as the doctors are aware, the patient will be put on intravenus antibiotics. Granted, they are unlikely to be as effective, but they will have to go on antibiotics anyway after the operation due to the stupidly high numbers of bacteria in the GI and the risk of infection.

Ask your doctor, because tuberculosis is pretty serious, but there is a possibility you could take it through your GI ...
