BEING gay is not wrong, but homosexual ACTS are the real issue. But let's not let heterosexuals off the hook here--the Bible has a lot to say about sexual morality that applies very much to heterosexuals as well--I think there's a lot that's not being said about chastity outside of marriage, but there are a lot of heterosexual Christians who justify their "extracurricular" behavior on the grounds that God will forgive them. But it totally misses the point. The questions I pose to both heterosexuals and homosexuals are, "Whose will are you seeking? And who are you trying to please, yourself or God?" I've come to the conclusion that God calls homosexuals to live a life of chastity, focused on Him--but God also never intended for every heterosexual to get married or have sex, either. God calls some heterosexuals to be celibate and to focus on deepening their relationship with Him instead of with a marriage partner. What matters isn't what we want, but what God wants for us.

Understand at the time, the Jewish people were badly outnumbered by all of their enemies, that no middle eastern society accepted homosexuality, and that cleanliness was not so 'clean' at those times.
To have accepted homosexuality would have compromised their ability to swell their numbers, brought the wrath of their neighbors, and potentially spread unsavory conditions (Let's face it, they weren't exactly bathing regularly and as a gay man, I can say not all men know how to keep their body parts, front and back, properly clean).
In the conditions of Judism and early Christianity, a prohibition against homosexuality made good health & social sense. The conditions leading to such a prohibition no longer exist, but the rule does because it's become set in stone with age.

there is not one section in the bible the place they quote/interprete God and it says gay marriage is misguided. Marriage is sacred. having mentioned that it says marriage is between guy and female.. that style of says it.. yet neither does Jesus consult from some thing that being gay may be incorrect. There are Paul the Apostle an i assume some others that interprete Gods will so as that gay marriage may be incorrect.. having mentioned that on the time Paul the Apostle lived there have been some problems with wealthy adult males having adult males as paid fans and hence it replaced into incorrect-ish.. the words in bible may be utilized in soo many strategies to safeguard and withstand your very own critiques which i hit upon somewhat stupid. faith is an exceedingly own element and that i only don't get it why you ought to purpose offend and alter others with and thanks to your critiques.

They can fall back on "it's god's will" and that's good enough for them. They cannot think outside the box that god has given them to live in.
I see the usually "man/woman are partners" and "for procreation' reasons listedn here. First, two partners of any gender can enhance each other's strengths and weaknesses so that's a baseless argument. And the world is filled with too many people as it is, so the procreation argument makes no sense in today's society. There are plenty of unwanted children that gay families can adopt and raise as well.
Face it... the only reason the Christians can come up with is that it's against the will of God and that's it. Tell them to come up with a reason that doesn't involved religion and/or god and they're lost.
Please remember, the majority of child molestors are HETEROSEXUAL, not homosexual. Any type of sexual molestation is about control, not sex. Proven fact.
And the answerer who says they are going to influence children with their perverse sexuality of the devil... your children have probably come in contact with several homosexuals by now and they never knew it. Not EVERYONE is out to convert people to their own ways... the majority of us on this earth just want to get along with others.

You know, God knows you and loves you. Feel the truth Know the truth, ask God, because people have set what THEY think the bible means. For example. You tell me what is the fruit of knolwedge? An apple? The bible doesn't say it is an apple, yet in nearly all representations of the garden of eden it seems an apple is used as the "forbidden fruit". The bible is gods way to talk to YOU. Listen to it, listen for god, he's out there listen for him he will guide you, ask him out loud. You'll be ok, God is ALWAYS with you, and with me, and everyone.

They say it's wrong, simply because that's what the Buybull says. Of course, the Buybull also condones slavery and their god commanded the annihilation of neighboring tribes (to include, women, children, and even livestock!). If you do not consider those to be moral, maybe you should ignore what this rediculous book claims to be immoral as well.

If God was in favour of gay sex, he wouldn't have created eve for Adam, but another man. There's a logic behind each of God's commands and we shouldn't argue before trying to understand the logic.

God created Man and Woman to work together as a team, to use each other's "God-given" strengths and weaknesses. To partner up with someone of your same gender is like trying to mess with God's plan. That's why it's wrong in the bible.
