I've been liking my best friend for a while. i've even told him that i like him but he told me (indirectly) that he likes younger girls. i'm 9 months older than him, which to most people... thinks that it is no big deal. He is comfortable in telling me things but do you think he's just using the age thing as an excuse?

I don't know why i still like him even though my sister thinks that he's not good for me . eg. he doesn't study hard etc.
good points are that he's got a really good sense of humour, is quite mature when handling life's problems and situations and very loyal to his friends eg. keeps secrets, generous when treating you, accompanys you when you need it etc.

can some one advice me what to do?
whether i should still wait for him or if i should break the emotional chain, how can i do it?

its been so hard for me because everytime i talk to him, i fall for him again. (SO WEIRD!) and he's moving to my uni campus next year which i think is gonna make things harder (esp if he gets a gf!) HELP!

it is going to be hard because he seems to be around a lot. all i can say is to occupy your time. just try to avoid him as best as you can. its hard to get over any type of crush. i say to seek elsewhere...obviously you are waisting your time pondering on him. you can dream all day long. but dreams don't come true for all of us. life is tooo short... before you know it...you will be 40-50 asking yourself where the time went. spend your time wisely. life is what you make it.

You already did enough. Now how did he say indirectly that he likes younger girls? What were his words?

He basically turned you down. Move on.

I'm sorry but, your question is way too long. Makes one not care.
