well im just wondering really.
when and how do you declare Commitment in a relationship...like does the bf give his lady somethin special?

im asking because my friend gave his GF of four months a promise ring..........
ive been with my love for almost a year...we havent declared a special commitment with anything [[i want to, but dont know how to go about it............ :)) ]] i know il end up marrying him one day, i just want to know that we [he] is commited. Maybe it's selfish, but i really need to feel like im that special.......cause i Am........we've talked about eventual marriage...we will when we finish college........but Until Then................

first =friendship
second = trust
third =respect
4th=honesty
5th=love
so yes you deserve a promise ring .or even a together ring ,you can buy the together rings and have both your names added it looks like a wedding band but you wear it on your right hand .

I Think it's Always Important for Anyone in a Relationship to at Least feel it's going somewhere!

The offering of a 'Commitment Ring' is the best way of showing that!
Men Don't really grow up till they hit 40!(Speaking from Experience!), so they can tend to buckle under the strain of getting round to doing this Gesture!
Just offer some Gentle Encouragement-sure it'll pan out!

I personally feel the best commitment a guy can give to his gal will be his love for her over the long run. In short how he treat her, not necessary materially, for eg does she has a special place in his heart.
