Best Beer ... hard ... Chimay red... and ... Old Speckled Hen
Brands ... as above And Kingfisher have a soft spot for indian beers

Domestic is preferred, now I party a little with a light beer, sometime ago I boozed with the original Lone Star. Lone Star has moved its brewing company to Fort Worth and has completely lost its taste compared to to old brewing factory in San Antonio. The Artisan springs produced some of the best beer there was at one time, it is a shame its still not being brewed in San Antonio. Besides no other beer of my knowledge puts brain teasing, mind boggling independent jokes on the under side of their beer caps.

Domestic is the best, as it's fresher, and rivals anything today coming from Germany. (And I'm German!)
Micro beers offer so much variety and character.
Never settle for Light beer... life is too short!
Samuel Adams Boston Lager is Excellent.
I also enjoy Sierra Nevada Pale Ale, Gordon Biersch (any).
Also many fine beers from Mexico...
although Corona is over rated.. very good, but overrated.
Enjoy!!

I drink a mixture. Red Stripe, a Jamican lager. Bass, a British ale and the ever popular Guiness. When FORCED to drink a domestic, Bud Light or Sam Adams.

Way too many to list, but will name a few. Boulevard Brewery in Kansas City makes a wonderful Stout, as does the Foothills Brewery in Winston-Salem.
Old Peculiar is probably the best over all, though I do like Chimay as well.

Non pilsner:
1. Oud Hoegaarden ("white" beer) (Belgium)
2. Fruit Defendu (Forbidden Fruit) (Belgium)
3. Kriek Lambic (cherry flavored!) (Belgium)
4. Triple (ad some syrup to it) (Belgium).
Yep, I'm a aficionado of Belgium beers (if I can find or pay for them).
Pilsner:
Corona is very nice in hot weather or when you're really thirsty.
Heineken (Dutch) is for snobs. Try another one: Grolsch.

Just one??? Damn it! I'm a HUGE fan of the "world tour" that is offered at Old Chicago restaurants. I LOVE beer...foreign, domestic, micro, lagar, ale, stout....I like trying all different varieties :)
