Reason why my farther has lung cancer and has to have part of his lung removed and i like my lungs i tell everyone i know who smokes that those are cancer sticks lol

I have never smoked, and I never will. When I was 10, I saw my father's cousin who had an open area in his throat to breathe, as he'd had cancer in his mouth from smoking. He talked by putting a machine to his larynx, and sounded like a robot. Besides hating the fact both of my parents smoked and I couldn't breathe, this encounter with my father's cousin had the profound effect of showing what smoking can do. I hope your father does well, and I hope you can keep up with your non-smoking message!

I hate to see anyone smoke; Hate the smell it leaves on clothes etc My husband died of lung cancer 3 yrs ago , then my sister this pass may. I never smoked, but my daughter does etc. I also call them cancer sticks. It is there live but still think of the one's that they leave behind. Stop if you can, Cold Turkey the best way. Smoke or dont smoke....we all have at 36% chance of dieing of cancer....what difference does it make where the cancer starts? Ever eat a pickle? or inhale radon? or eat trans-fats? or LIVE?

We all die in our own time....I am very sorry about your father....you were def not ready for it. My father got lung cancer 10 years ago from cedar.....yep that stuff people put in their drawers and closets....he had a lung out and lived another 10 years....he died 3 days ago...from a heart attack. We are programmed to live our time and no more. Treasure your memories of your father.....that is what makes us humans.

I smoke, but i''am getting help to give up the Cancer Stick. My best friend lost his farther to throat cancer, so i only know to well to give up. I wish i never picked up a smoke in the first place.

Smoking is retarded. Not worth it. I don't know why anyone smokes either. It is gross and a waste of money. Try not to be too judgmental, because that is not a way to get through to people. It's possible you could tell people in a nice way about your father and if the person you are talking to is a friend you can let them know that you care about them and would hate to see that happen to them.

i hate cigarettes bcuz my grandma died of lung cancer 2 years ago. i did try smoking for the first time few weeks ago, man did it hurt but according to the loser who had me do it with her, i "wasnt doing it right"

I hate it when i smell that anoying cigartte! My uncle use to smoke, so every time he smokes my grandfa always gets mada at him! I also hate some guys when I ride a jeep then in front of me they blow out thier cigartte!!
