Semetic religions started from a place, which was inhabitated by newly evolved humans, still in half-animal mind.
Their insecurity needed something like herd-philosophy because there is safety in numbers. Hence this was the only religion, true in their sense, they forced all around them so that they feel secure
Surprise is when people in 21st century, behave like tribes of Middle East
Eastern Religions on the other hand, dive deep into the philosophy of universe, and after knowing the Truth, never tried to force others to believe them. They knew, it depends on the evolution of mind, and others will only understand when they have sufficiently evolved

>>"why can't they focus on being spiritual instead of always looking to convert or kill the others?"<<
Judaism does not try to convert people, and is not about the afterlife, but about this life. spirituality and religion are separate things, and should be defined as such.
the whole agressive conversion thing, AND the "we're the only ones who are right" thing are unique to Christianity and Islam.
>>"Finding Jesus can only be compared (in the flesh, meaning not spiritually) to finding the greatest treasure ever and wanting to share it with everyone. What if you felt completly sure that you knew the answers to all of life's problems and why we are here? Wouldn't you want to tell someone? "<<
I don't have any issue with people who truly, honestly want to share it in that way, because for some it really is trying to share something they find wonderful, is very well intentioned.
the problem is when people get obnoxious, overly pushy with it, and assertively exclusive.... pushing this "if you don't believe you'll go to hell" thing, ect.
and how arrogant is it to think YOUR treasure is the ONLY treasure in the world?

Yes, they are. Since they believe that their way is the only right way, either everyone else has to believe that, too, or they are all evil or ignorant (usually thought to be purposefully ignorant).
Okay, that was the bitter me talking. I have some friends who do not see things this way. At least, not the whole evil or ignorant part. I think that they still want everyone to be their religion, but they aren't pushy like some people.
I think it has to do with the human need to justify what we think and feel as being "normal." We want to make sure that we're not making a huge mistake by thinking one way or another, and to do that we look for those who think the same way. Unfortunately, the only Abrahimic religion that doesn't seem to see it that way is Judaism (Jews). Then again, their whole philosophy is that you are not going to heaven anyway unless you are of Jewish descent (if I remember correctly).

follower of non-Abrahamic religioins are already convinced that they cannot offer anything better for others. So, they don;t try to spread it. About killing! do you forget how many muslims were killed in India after independents? and how much before independent? What about khalisa movement in India? What about japanese during world war II? There is no such exception in non-abrahamic religions as well.

It's not so much the religions themselves, but the Fundamentalist sects who cannot progress past the 8th century. Fundamentalist religion (be it Christian, Islam, or Judaic) is one of the great evils of the world.

Their religions are successfull because they focus everything on belief and spreading that belief. They are highly virulent viruses crowding out all other such viruses.

So what you're saying is that we should all be more self-centered and not care who does and doesn't go to Hell? Sorry, not going to happen.
