That all depends on how much weight you want, or need to lose. Basically, drink as much water as you can handle, drink 24 oz of milk every 24 hrs, walk as much as you can.

Give it about a month, and you will notice that your clothes are looser.

Try eating the right amount of calories and the right food for that matter. Eat your breakfast, lunch and dinner but do not eat after six. Try limiting your breakfast to cornflakes, oats, barley and lunch eat a cup of rice and a meat/ fish dish as well as dinner or you can substitute it for a salad and fruits... Try eating more of the greens as well as fruits.. Drink a lot of liquids such as juice and water before eating or eat a banana so it fills you up faster than the food you are about to it... stay away from carbonated drinks oh and drink milk before you sleep, I've heard studies that showed people who drink milk beofre they sleep loose weight... I hope this helps.. Oh and if you have time do a bit of exercise at least 30 mins a day, like cycling, dancing, swimming, or just walking...

Number one.... don't diet. Change your eating habits. Eat as many fresh fruits and veggies as possible. Eat the leanest possible meat, preferably poultry. Eliminate trans fats and use low fat oil such as extra virgin olive oil. Cut back sugar as much as possible, but not completely. If you stop eating sweets, you'll crave them more... eat one cookie, or get a SMALL milkshake if you have to have it (or even better, split it with someone). Drink at LEAST 8 8oz glasses of water daily, preferably more. Limit your beer intake (sorry). Eliminate ALL soda (even diet). Understand that juice, milk, etc. all have calories and MUST be taken into account. If it's packaged (Oreos, chips, etc), avoid if at all possible. Eat at home as much as you can, if you eat out, get small portions or split a plate with someone.

Exercise at least 30 minutes 3-4 times a week, more if possible.

I have kept off 40 pounds successfully. Keep a daily journal of everything consumed. Walk 10,000 steps a day. Eat sugar free yogurt. It's high in calcium and potassium, has other vitamins, low carbs, no fat, is very good for ya and tastes good too.

Salt causes bloating and butter is full of calories, so flavor pasta, cereal, meat, and stews with clean herbs, garlic, and onions instead.
