I have the same problem with my hair, completely unmanagable.
however this is what I do to help....
any shampoo (I use either dove moisturizing or herbal essance for the scent)
then dove moisturizing conditioner (made a world of difference brushing out the insane knots)
for curling I will style when wet apply suave mousse with aloe (the green can) and herbal essance hairspray, mousse everywhere hairspray not on roots.

straighten....
on wet hair apply herbal essances dangerously straight mousse and blowdry (i have a lot of success with a hairdryer shaped like a round brush, works wonders) just before hair is completely dry, apply herbal essances dangerously straight flat out moisurizing spray, and flat iron, (ceramic is best).
to aviod frizzing in the morning wait untill hair is compeltely cool, if its still hot/warm it will crink. put hair in braid/ tight bun before bed, somtimes i will use hairspray on the very top and comb it down tightly to keep it from frizzing on top.
Good luck, god bless and keep your hair managable, lovely and full of life. :)

about shakira hair, try some non-fris product, such as frizzease (warning will cause greasyness if too much is applied) grab small ammount of hair and twist, blow dry with hair twisted. NOTE shakira has beautiful hair but if you look closely she's frizzy just like the rest of us, it is the frizz that gives her that wild untamed look. ;)

Even though your hair is frizzy, if it is thick and wavy it must be beautiful! You have a lot to work with :)

Here are some suggestions on how you can style your hair:

1. A Ponytail-Bun:
Pull your hair back into a ponytail and leave it half out so that it forms a bun. In this style, frizz can not be seen.

2. Braids:
Yes, they're simple, but stylish. A loose braid off to the side is very sexy and any frizz will not show up.

3. Pigtails:
No, not the high pigs tails, but low ones. They are coming back in style and would look so cute on your type of hair.

4. A Clip-Up:
Put your hair in a low ponytail and then twist it. Use a clip to pin it up.

I hoep those hair style suggestions work for you! Good luck.

PLEASE LISTEN!!! Same problem and you wont believe me, but after you get out of the shower put Mousse in it....It is the ultimate key too good looking hair...Put a good amounts style it the way you want wet, and take your blow drying and lightly go over it until damp, if still not right, take a curling iron to the pieces that give your trouble.....IT WORKS!

My hair is natural curly and thick. I use a straightener from walmart...can't think of the brand...but it works very well...keeps my hair straight for days...actually the straightener is my aunts...i believe she only got it for $25.00...I believe on the straightener it says "wet to straight"...go to a hair salon and ask for ideas...

My friend has hair like yours, very wirey and frizzy, she actually has it permed, so its got spiral curls instead of frizz

try cutting it and then straightening it... you can get your hair relaxed at the salon or at home.... it will make your hair alot more easier to manage
