I just moved to a new town and I'm from the north, and I moved to the south. People here talk differently but they're still people. And people will like you for who you are, not where you're from.

Stop carrying around a sign that says "I'm not from around here" and just be yourself. You'll be suprised at the results.

Do NOT change yourself for the sake of having friends. If people cannot accept you for who you are, then you do not need them in your life in any capacity. True friends accept you with all of your good and bad points. If you do change for the sake of other people, it will be picked up on and exploited, and the next thing you know, you might be dangling on a string and dancing to someone else's tune.

Hell no! Why should you change? If you did, then you wouldn't be you, and you'd be lying to those you've met about who you truly are. If they can't take you as you are, who needs them? Sure it's hard meeting new people, but still~Be Yourself.

We all have common denominators. Give it a little time and you may just see that you really aren't that different after all.
