To save you a lot of hunting, I will post this man's answer as Additional Details. However, I have provided the link so that you may see it in context for yourselves.

I come to the yahoo answers section to speak with Christians only. I am totally not interested in anything an atheist has to say. Not trying to be rude. It's just true. I am hear to lift up other Christians and interact with them.

When I read something like your question it distracts me from this and I end up spending time like I am now that would better be used mowing the lawn or speaking with other Christians on the forum. Having atheists and Christians both on this forum is totally and completely worthless. Nothing you have to say will change my faith in God. And nothing I have to say will change your disbelief. It's much like talking to a fence post.

So I would just LOVE it if Yahoo answers would create a Christians section so I wouldn't have to listen to profain and disrestpectful language about my God. And atheists would have fewer things that they will have to explain to God when indeed it is proven that God exists as they bow before Him in judgment. No brag. Just fact.

For the record, I DID NOT write that, as I was accused of something similar today when I exposed a similar posting.

And also, I have many fine Christian friends in this forum and it is not my intent to insult you. I am just pointing out an example of what we find to be at odds with your beliefs.

I've got a ruler....surprised?? Only that I was finally able to produce proof of what we have been saying all along.

Sean....this man has made all of Christianity look bad by his narrow minded views. I agree with you that there are bad elements everywhere, and I thank you for the compliment.

andy c....You know I'm not a hater. I pointed this post out because everyday the back and forth goes on, and we just cannot ever seem to get the point across that WE feel as if WE are being persecuted by the Christians. It is constantly denied. That man's post is exactly what we are talking about. It happens all day everyday. Just not so blatantly.

brianna....as an atheist, I can honestly say I hate no one. Please do not feel that way towards any Christian or anyone else.

Some Atheist on here do make the rest of you look bad but I have noticed some of you are good people and act accordingly.

You are one of the good ones spooky, I like your questions and answers. I wish the other atheist could be more like you. Some of them are like talking to a fence post, but at least the fence post wouldn't say anything insulting back.

Take Care and God Bless :)

here's what I think spooky. You may not see what this person sees when he asks questions that get posted by people who either are or say they are ateists. My guess is that this is a reaction to those answers as yours is to Christian posts. You have to admit this person was not trying to be offensive. the person made an attempt to be civil, which I must say many on both sides do not.
As for myself I like answering your questions they keep me sharp and help me grow. so I guess that makes me selfish.
I used to know a guy who would often say if you fight with a pig your gonna get dirty so if you want to be clean then ignor this stuff or perhaps find a way to help these poor insecure people who have no wish to grow and have been stressed out about change instead of embrassing it which is such a sad state to be in.

Sometimes b4 I answer a question I click on the questioner's icon (avatr wtvr)and see whats cookin, and if you did that perhaps you would see where this person actually is,, are they immature, are they playing,,are they trying to make you think, are they insecure, retarded, rebellious, insane, young, old, you know,, where are they coming from and then I answer in a way I think might address who they are and why they act like that.

just for the record (in contradiction to the posts point) after 30 years of being a christian, and that after 15 years of being an atheist, I have observed that the very best and most effective christians were once atheists so if a christian is worth a grain of salt (being as it is prescribed as part of the christian walk to be a witness) then a christians time would be well spent being friends with atheists and besides they are interesting people not tied down by social crap.

My gut reaction is that this person does not believe in a spirit of free and open debate, and has no need in his life for intelligent discourse on a touchy subject. It's also obvious to me that he's extraordinarily closed off toward anyone who might disagree with him. The Christians always claim to be a religion of tolerance and inclusion, yet if you question them, even in the most innocent, respectful way possible, out of a real desire to learn, they circle the wagons and start a fire. I have said repeatedly that I am not an atheist, I'm agnostic, and no one seems to know the difference. I don't come to R&S to bash - I come to try to understand. I'm starting to understand that, for the most part, some of these people are nice and what I thought Christians should be. But many of them have a real problem - Carlin was right when he said religion is a mental disorder. Go ahead, bash me now. But today, some woman said that those little Amish girls had been "Called home to be with God." That's just sick.

I think that this is an honest person who should just stay away from such questions if they're really such a bother to him. And I think that Yahoo!Answers would get way too big if Religion and Spirituality was divided into separate categories, and there would also be no way of making sure that people who weren't "supposed" to be in that category didn't get there, so it would in the end be pointless. He should just read questions carefully, not bother with answering anything not in his proscribed little corner of interest, and get on with life. It takes up less time than it probably took to write that.

I have to say that I like it that he at least wasn't insulting in his honesty. No foul language or anything, like others I've seen. And I don't think he had a biblical verse in there, either, which gives him extra brownie points in my book. It just seemed like straight up honesty to me, and like I said, a lot nicer than others can be. Intolerant, perhaps, but it was a civil intolerance rather than an abusive one.

Well, Spoocky, I thought you were of the free thinking mind. And I belive your conclusion needs to be overly discussed. My experience with the Fundentalist Christians is some what limited. Mostly caused by their unwilling ness to confront their faith. They will always tout a Bible vers or they will not confront me all together even in an open forum to just disscus what they beleive and what I believe. They some how tend to hide or just claim they don't have time to disscus this.

That person needs to go back and read the New Testament. Jesus didn't spend time hanging around other people who believed in him. What is the point in that? He talked with thieves, prostitutes, and murderers. People like that give Christians a bad name. Not all are really like that. And on behalf of those who arent'- I apologize!

I see your viewpoint. That is sad to see someone almost cursing the athiest for living his own life. I hate that type of attitude, but there is yet a line to be determined between truth and mere willy-nilly speculation about anything, i.e., what may be classified as arbitrary thinking that one may refer to as 'non-truth'.
I mean this guy, talk about homos running around, do you agree? What planet.."? It seems like a turnoff to me especially if I were an athiest or a pagan. It is essential that neither side judge the other for not conforming, at least in their own minds, to the other side's points of views. That's what I think at this time.

Thank you very much for pointing this out. Sometimes I don't have a lot of time to read other's answers. I never would have seen this had you not pointed it out.

I do not beleive he gives all of Christianity a bad name. I am a Christian and I do not believe in segregation. He is only one indivual among many who seems to need inner healing. He is obviously a hurt person who is using those who do not believe as himself as a verbal punching bag. I feel sad for him and hope that he will eventually gain health. There are a lot of Christians like him because Christians are people too. There are a lot of people like him. My prayer for him is that he will get healed.

Hurt people hurt people.

That statment is true of all of us regardless of our belief system.
That is why inner healing is so important. I have actually come face to face with some people like him. It was very disturbing.

Thanks again for pointing this out.

Well, that's fine and all. Except I don't go around talking about the people I don't want to talk to and how much I don't want to talk to them. It seems rather arrogant and rude to say such a thing; if you're going to do that, just do and don't go around saying it. Especially not in a question posted by a non-Christian--that's going against everything the answerer just said!

Good grief. The Christians, as a whole as I'm sure there are rare rational ones, on this site never cease to amaze me. I have read more posts saying this is a Christian site and Christians are the only group allowed to post in this section that it boggles the mind. There are thousands of Christian only sites online so I don't understand why the need to take over this one. The thing that makes me laugh is that Christians nearly always talk about how they are persecuted, etc but yet they seem to bring it upon themselves by always acting both the victim and the persecutor (not allowing anyone else to have their own beliefs).
