It doesn't affect my belief one way or the other.

definately less. i hate it when people try to shove their beliefs in your face. if you want to show me how christ has had an effect on you, dont freak out every five seconds about religion and who's wrong- who's right.
i've found, actually, that "christians" are rather contrary to what they preach about all the time. i know nobody is perfect, but those in that religion seem to be way more uptight, unforgiving and even judgemental. did the bible not say something along the lines of 'let he who is without fault cast the first stone?'
and here they are, constantly damning homosexuals and addicts and anybody flawed and picking at every weakness and even sometimes mocking people... like they're up on some pedestal.

if you were going to try to convince me that god is real, or that i should love him like he supposedly loves me, prove it not with words but with actions. show me how he makes you feel. does this god really instill such hatred from diversity in his followers?

from christians i've seen mostly arrogance and cruelty stemmed from this 'im better than you' ideal.
it's ridiculous. i believe in love and forgiveness and being kind and fair to one another, not that someone with a tattoo is going to hell.
just my opinion though.

Reading what some people write here has made me stronger in my belief that there is no god, and that Christ was just a regular guy who happened to piss off the power of his time, and was sentenced to death for that reason.

I was never a Christian to begin with so it's a moot point. But I haven't seen anything here that would convince me to become one. If anything, I've been more convinced to avoid it. However I can say that most Christians I have met in my everyday life are much more tolerant and peaceful than the bad apples seen here.

yahoo answers has nothing to do with my faith
every aspect of what I now believe comes entirely from lowering of ego so as to be guided simply by what the Bible says, and how it harmonizes 100% with itself.
That meant becoming willing to let go of the false doctrines that the apostate churches of christendom had embraced over the centuries.
What others have written on this forum has been upbiulding in a backhanded way: that is, that it is indeed rare for people on this earth to come to know God and his son Jesus in truth and spirit.
I guess that is what was meant when Jesus said "wide is the road leading off into destruction, and many are on it, whereas, narrow is the road leading off into life, and few are finding it"
The christian mystics, with their stock answers of 'you just have to have faith' or 'God works in mysterious ways' etc., fall in line with another thing Jesus said: "you worship what you do not know".

More!

The more I see how lost people are, the more I am thankful that I am found.

The more I see how blind people are, the more I am thankful that I can see.

The fellowship of believers, sharing God's Word is encouraging and reminds me that God will never leave me or forsake me.

'Iron sharpens Iron' and this place has made me a little more sharp since I discovered it.

Mind you, this place can never take the place of my fellowship (Church body) in my home town. Y! A is just a little bus stop on my journey to my Heavenly Home!

Asking questions makes you less of a blind "believer" in any religion. That's one reason why the Establishment tries to teach you not to ask questions.

Good question! It makes me realize how many lost souls there are out there & it makes me sad, so very sad. But more determind to share the gospel with them, thats all we can do. My heart breaks for them and I pray that all it could take is 1 answer to someone who is searching for the truth.
