When i trace their process via task manager, my browser is backed by iexplore.exe and 'my documents' by explorer.exe .... these are system files and i can't alter 'em. Is there any way to restore my PC to normal or do i have to reinstall the OS... PLZ HELP

First, I would DISABLE System Restore, this will prevent the off chance of something else being brought back from an earlier save. This can be done by going to the Control Panel\System Properties\System Restore\Disable System....etc. Next, reboot into "Safe Mode with Networking" (F8 after BIOS screen). Then download Lavasoft ad-aware or Spybot S&D (Personally, I would download both.) Install and let them run its course. After you cleaned up your system with these tools, Download Microsoft Antispyware to help prevent this from happening agian.

From the start Menu
Cick Run
Press msconfig
Then Click ok
A New window opens
In the startup
Click Disable all
Then Press Okey
Press Restart.
I think everything okey.
Else u want to use some adware,spyware to remove it.

Do a system restore to an earlier date where you werent experiencing those problems.

if this started happening recently, yuo can restore your computer to an earlier point in time (say last week)...go to "start" ... "all programs" ... "accesories" ... "system tools" ... "system restore"
