The Rank formula in Excel works as follows:

=Rank(Number, Reference, Order)

Where Number is the Number you want to rank
Reference is the Cell range containg the number sequence
Order is Logical being 'True' for ascending order, 'False' for descending order.

So you should put your 5 values in a range sequence such as C4, D4, E4, F4, G4
Then assuming the number you want to rank is 12 then your formula should read

=Rank(12, C4:G4, TRUE)
