I have two different relationships. One with my now, ex-boyfriend that I still love and he still loves me. We had a very good relationship but broke up because of the distance. I feel incredible when I'm with him. An amazing passion and love. He makes me feel so special...

Now with my best friend... I feel peace... This great love... I feel secure with him... He's told me he's in love with me... but I couldn't correspond to his feeling because of my ex...

Do I love them both? What's going on?

YOU MAY LOVE THE BOTH OF THEM BUT IN DIFFERENT WAYS AND ON DIFFERENT LEVELS. YOU HAVE THIS PASSION AND LOVE YOU FEEL FOR YOUR EX AND THIS IS THE TYPE OF LOVE THAT YOU HAVE FOR SOMEONE THAT YOU WANT TO HAVE A RELATIONSHIP WITH. AND THEN THERE IS THE SENSE OF SECURITY AND PEACE YOU HAVE WITH YOUR FRIEND THAT IS SOMETHING LIKE WHAT YOU WOULD FEEL FOR A BROTHER. I DONT THINK THAT YOU LOVE YOUR FRIEND THE SAME WAY THAT HE LOVES YOU.

Sounds like you need to resolve the old relationship first to be able to go on in the new relationship. You are not being fare to your new boyfriend or yourself by not doing this. You have an ex for a reason, remember that.

It is possible that you love them both but you arent IN LOVE with both of them. you could just be having strong feelings for the new guy but you are actually still in love with your ex. I think maybe to help figure which one you like more you could ask yourself a couple questions like who is the one you always think about? which one gets you the most twitter-pated?

people are emotional beings and have a vast capacity to love.

there is on limit on the quantity of people one can love. There is on limit on the amount of love one can give.

What you seem to be asking is about how the relationships are/should be handled.

you just need to decide which one to pursue or continue a relationship with so you can be honest with the other.

I think you love them both. And people can love more than one person. You might want to read up on Christian love vs Polymory.

the definition of love is squirrly.
But when agape turns to eros then it can be tough.

I would pay the closer one attention because you have already let the other one go. or have you? only you know.

OMG you're going through the same thing as me, I love my boyfriend and I love my ex-boyfriend. But right now I'm trying to figure out who I want to be with and it's so hard. So basically just go with your heart, Who ever you think that you can see yourself with in the future, go for it.....

Love one at a time for when love fails to both of the relationships you have at present, it will hurt u a million fold. Just follow what your heart truly dictates. Love is sweeter when you have fully enjoyed its benefits!

It is possible sometimes. But one thing is clear: The meaning of the word love is more than: feelings, sex, or simple affection.Love between a man and a woman is called love. Love, feelings or affection for 2 or more is called desire.

ur up sh*t crick.....good luck but i would go with the one you feel amazing with and you already know that you love him, because he loves you, you love him..done deal right? if you really love each other then you and him both would do something to get rid of the distance problem. oh and by the way....if you broke up because of distance...then how come you guys still love each other? breaking up basically means breaking the love.....

Yes, of course you can love two people at once. But not for long.

It's said that the triangle is the hardest relationship from which to learn.
