I dont think I like it pudding, it does not appeal to me although if you are going to buy something from a catholic web try americancatholic.org or just go into a catholic church and look at some of their gifts, but if you like this and if you think it is something you would have that is ok I am not judging anyone, but I dont think it would be my cup of tea. I guess I am used to seeing the older staues and pictures that are simpler. mystical

I think they are an attempt to show children (And adults) that God, being Jesus knows what it is like to be one of us.
They remind us that Jesus is with us always in everything we think, say and do.
However, I do not like the idea of creating images of Jesus Christ, since the Scriptures are clear that there should not be any graven images worshiped or made.
God knows that we are a weak minded people and that it is in our nature to want something worldly to satisfy our flesh, (Sight, taste, touch, smell), when trying to worship.
God doesn't want us to get caught up in statues or ingraved images of Him. He doesn't want us to limit who He really is with our human mind/immagination.
How is it that the creatED thinks it can CREATE an image of his CreatOR?
God will reveal Himself in due course.
