To start, your dogs age is about the equivalent of a 12 year old child, her body is not developed enough to go through the burden of forming babies and developing them. Her body only has so much nutrients, and it now has to be split between trying to care for new forming puppies and her own body.

So yes, that will cause complications for her and her babies. And if the male and her have been together (stuck) numerous times...SHE IS PREGNANT.

It is obvious you know nothing about breeding, has no one ever told you what would happen when you have a male and a female together? It is a bit late now.

I am harsh, but in this day and age when 14 year old kids know more about sex than their parents. It is impossible to conceive that you did not know what would happen when you put a male and a female together.

Hopefully your male is smaller than your female, and he is out of small dogs, or you may have just killed you female.

You will not be able to see the puppies until about 45 days into the pregnancy. Count from the first day she stuck with your male, you will have puppies between day 58 and 62. Maybe your female will be lucky.
Expect her to come in heat every 5 to 7 months, so if she doesn't die, do something to protect her.

It is much too soon for her to be showing signs of pregnancy, altho it is very likely that she is pregnant. The swollen nipples happen when they are in heat. The puppies right now would just be about the size of a small grren pea, if that so you would not be able to see them yet. Just watch her very carefull when it is close to her due date. Be prepared to take her to the vet if there are complications. You can have a vet check her at about 8 weeks and x-ray her and see if he thinks she will be able to have them on her own.

I have two long haired Chihuahua's brother and sister they are 4 years old Miss Kitty just came into her first full heat she weights 3lbs. 4oz. But yes she is most definitely with babies. They will cute little scuttle bugs just wait til they are about two or three weeks old you got a lot of fun ahead. But take her to her Doctor and have her checked when she gets further along to make sure she will be alright during delivery don't take any chances with her having trouble giving birth. Good Luck!

It is very irresponsible to leave an intact male and female together. They should have been seperated either placed in different rooms or in crates. What happened was very unnecassary and irresponsible. Something like this would not have happened and you wouldn't be worrying if they had both been spay/neutered. Your little female could possibly lose her life because of irresponsability. I would suggest that you make an appointment and get her in to be spayed NOW and get the male neutered as well. She isn't far enough along in her pregnancy to be unable to be spayed if you act now.

yes your dog is pregnant anytime you see a female dog and her nipples are very plump and hanging this is a sign that her mammary glands are producing milk for the puppies and the lumps you see could be the puppies as she gets larger you can gentle rub under her belly to feel the puppies

If you are concerned about complications, why did you let them mate?
If you really want to know now, take her to the vet.
