It's normal for the twitches during sleep. You can tell when your dog is having a bad dream, they whine.

puppies, like babies, sleep alot. And dogs, like people dream and we all go through the REM process in our sleep, and with that process sometimes, we move around because our mind is telling us that we are someplace that we are not and our bodies are reacting as if what our minds are saying is true. don't worry about your puppy. you will notice that she may sometimes even bark while she is asleep or make little whimpering sounds, you can wake her up once in a while if you want, just to reassure her of her surroundings, but for the most part, you can just let her sleep. Trust me, there is nothing wrong with your puppy.

She is dreaming. If you are worried about it, take her to the vet, or ask the breeder.

My dog whimpers in her sleep and twitches and "runs" as if she si chasing something. She actually woke herself up once when she barked in her sleep. She looked very embarassed.
My cats also dream.

She is dreaming!! All dogs do it. It is very common for puppies to have these effects during sleep. Twitching legs and rapid eye movement(R.E.M.) are common. She might be be deaming about chasing her tennis ball!! Congratulations on the puppy!!

Your pup is just dreaming and having some involutary movement, I think. My rotties do the same thing and my husband tells me not to wake them, they are dreaming and just about to catch that silly rabbit....he he. Mine even howl and sing in their sleep, also wimper alot, and never wake up thru it all. Aren't puppies wonderful???

I would ask the vet - but i bet she is dreaming. Try putting a pet safe stuffed animal with her so she feels like she is with her brothers and sisters.
